If you are interested in becoming involved in the Driffield School Podcast in some way, then read on . . . . . .
JOINING THE EDITORIAL TEAM
KS4 and 5 students are invited to join the Driffield School Podcasting club. Members will take editorial decisions about the podcast content (ie they will decide what goes in each podcast), prepare the podcasts using special software, upload the podcast to the internet, update this website and present the regular parts of the podcast (eg news, sports etc). We will generally meet on a Monday after school in Room 10 but are willing to be flexible to accommodate students who cannot make that time. If you are interested in becoming involved please see Mrs Baxter in the ICT department or contact her using the email address podcast@driffield.eriding.net
RECORDING FOR THE PODCAST
All students (and staff, parents and local residents) are encouraged to submit files to be included in the Driffield School podcast. You can use your mobile phone to record interviews etc, take pictures to go on the website and even take short videos. Don’t worry about the file formats, simply download your files from your phone to your PC and then send them to us by email. If you are not sure how to do this then come and see Mrs Baxter who can arrange to do this for you.
Please remember that when you record anything using your mobile phone that you must have the permission of the people involved. You may only use your mobile phone inside school to do this with the permission of a teacher. When you send your files to the podcast you are agreeing that these may be published on the internet and the files then become the property of Driffield School (this is in order to comply with Copyright law). Please make sure that you provide details of what the files contain plus the full names of any people that are featured. Your audio file should be a MAXIMUM of three minutes long and video files a MAXIMUM of 30 seconds. We cannot provide any guarantee that we will use your files in the podcast but will do our best to include everything that is suitable. It is likely that we may need to edit your original files to ensure that they are of the right quality and length.
