Episode Ten (Transition Project)

June 9th, 2008 by wsbaxter

This half term we will be featuring a mini-series of podcasts aimed specifically at Year 6 students within our catchment area who will be coming to Driffield School next term.  The podcasts were put together by Year 6 students together with a little help from some Year 7 students and the ICT Department (not forgetting to mention Mrs Collinson who co-ordinated the whole project).  The students were given approximately 2 hours to prepare their podcasts, each one on a specific theme.  We think that they have done marvellously well given the short-timescale but you can also judge their success by listening in.  Please do leave supportive comments for our students using the comment function below.

Below you can see a picture of today’s hosts – “The Dancing Footballers”

Episode Ten features a group who called themselves “The Dancing Footballers”.  They were tasked with finding out about after-school activities and some of the departments that run a lot of these.  They interview three of the Driffield School staff – Miss Tuttle – Performing Arts Department (not Miss Towse as they say in the podcast!), Mrs Collinson – Extended Schools Co-ordinator and Miss Oxtoby – Head of Girls PE.  Many thanks to all those staff for helping out with interviews at short notice.

We hope that you enjoy this episode and will listen in again next week for the next in our mini-series.
